>Mark Dugally www.dugallery.com Mark Dugally is an artist and designer that currently lives and works in Monrovia, California. A 28 year old Los Angeles native with a background in traditional architecture, working in a vast array of mediums and forums. The predominant style seen in the public view is mostly aerosol or airbrushing, melding an abstract dreaminess and a semi-cognizant surrealism. He prefers the challenge of working on recycled substrates that have achieved a definitive level of decay and had a life of their own to exchange energies with. Small series of 4 to 8 pieces are a safe expectation to have from Mark. Although many of his works appear to be random character sketches of a sort, they are often based on folklore and traditional stories of cultures worldwide, influenced by his many travels abroad. Working mainly as an architectural and interior designer, the freeform softness of his paintings counterract the rigidity of drafted forms and work as a release. Mark is available for commissions and murals as well as installation work both solo and in collaboration with other artists.
