>David Choe
www.davidchoe.com
Born and Raised in Los Angeles, of Korean descent, an art school drop out, hustler, lover, thief, gambler, world traveler, arteest, and heart breaker.

In the past, or I should say, most of his life,he’s has been fueled by such feelings and emotions as loneliness, anger, bitterness, rage, self-loathing, and idiosyncratic nihilism.
He marveled at irrelevance. However, now in the last year, with a drastic turn of events, David is now powered, fueled, and driven by an emotion and feeling much greater than these, and of course that is LOVE.

David Choe, is the worlds greatest living artist, as well as the most handsome, according to the women in his life (his mom, and girlfriend)

Now 26, David has traveled to some of the most dangerous places on earth (the Gaza Strip, Congo Central Africa), before he even hit his 20’s.

Hitchhiking and hopping freight trains around the US. and Europe.
Documenting and photographing his journeys in sketchbooks and publishing them in magazines such as GIANT ROBOT, and VICE magazine.

He has also honed his graffiti skills as a young punk running the streets of Oakland and Los Angeles into a fine art style.
His First solo show was at a small ice cream shop on Melrose, called Double Rainbow where his show was supposed to run a month, but went up for 2 years, constantly changing after pieces started selling better than the ice cream.
I
n that time David got fired at his first job, doing children's book illustration’s (because they were “too scary!”), as well as quitting positions as the head assistant to a famous Iranian Abstract Artist, and one of the biggest Advertising firms in Los Angeles.
He has won numerous awards and been published in almost every single magazine worth reading.

In 1999 he put out his self-published award winning comic/novella/zine SLOW JAMS and in 2002 his art/photo/travel journal book BRUISED FRUIT.

His Murals can be found on walls, from Los Angeles, to the bay Area, to the Middle East and Asia. And inside museums , galleries ,and peoples houses from coast to coast.
